FCDA accepts applications from students and volunteers to undertake internship and volunteer with FCDA on a broad range of her activities from agriculture, financial inclusion, NGO formation, Social Media Marketing, Project management, accounting, sewing and embroidery, grant writing, entrepreneurship, micro financing and Web designing. FCDA also assist in project development of these interns, provides them with support in developing innovative projects, conducts assessment of needs , problem identifications, problems and project implementation.Volunteers are also assigned challenging skills so as to enable them re-engineer and get real solutions to social problems. Smart Interns and volunteers are usually retained after their projects and are motivated with stipend, accommodation and food. We have as target to recruit at least 20 interns and volunteers per year. We also accept international volunteers into our programs so to encourage a cross cultural and diversified work environment.

Job Purpose: The Social Media Specialist in charge of brands is responsible for the online presence in at least 10 social media sites, develop content, videos, audios, blogs and other online presence. To develop a network of at least 500 followers per month on our social media sites, transform at least 5% to members and to generate leads on international donors, local donors and diaspora community. The Social Media Specialist will ensure the products and services are well positioned in the market, conduct online research and present reports daily, weekly, monthly to the Vice president sales and marketing. Attend seminars, conferences, workshops in and out of the country. To manage all the key accounts of the organization, creates relationship with all stakeholders. Should be able to train students and volunteers. Liaise with other departments for the establishment of new products and services. In all to ensure driving of traffic to the organization web site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Create and execute social media strategy to generate traffic strategy;
  2. Design content for social channels; respond to mails
  3. Acts as the permanent secretary of the organization, takes down minutes during meeting, maintains effective archiving
  4. Manage community engagement;
  5. Analyze performance and make adjustments as well as to propose to the supervisor to the as necessary;
  6. Stay abreast of digital financial inclusion trends; e learning applications
  7. Work closely with each marketing lead to understand needs and integrate into calendar.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • She/he must possess at least BSc Degree in any Computer Sciences, digital marketing, sales and marketing management
  • Communicate effectively in both English and French
  • 3-5 years of social media content production, community management and measurement, using enterprise publishing tools such as Hoot suite or Sprout Social;
  • Proven track record of increased acquisition and engagement on social channels;

Job Purpose: The Vice president projects is responsible for all projects planning, implementation, scope, budget, human resources, funding and the general administration of the organization. He needs to priorities projects, ensures liquidity of the organization, write business proposals, establishes business plan and objectives of all staff in this department. He assist in conducting training, recruit, motivate, and evaluate employees. He shall define the calendar of the organization, design work schedules, deliverable and report milestones, risk and resources usage and needs in the organization. He shall ensure that the financial statements and budgets of the company are prepared on time with comparison of the actual to the planned. He shall also liaise with the sales and marketing department and the information and communication technology department for new product developments and trends in the market. He shall also coordinate the fund raising campaigns, creates relationships with international donors, local donors, diaspora members, members, partners and other stakeholders.

Job Purpose: The accounting/Finance and Fundraising Officer shall ensure the preparation of all the financial statements of the company, preparation of the budgets and monitoring of the budget. He shall be responsible for the day to day expenditures and revenue generated each day. He shall keep the asset register of the company, conducts fundraising programs both locally and internationally, he shall be a signatory to all the accounts of the company. He shall advise the vice president projects on the best software to use, monitoring cost, keep tracking of the data base of all the clients and all stakeholders. He shall ensure the printing of all bills, development of templates and forms as well as to ensure that the total recovery target of 100% is attained by the organization. He shall assist in the establishment of the policies and procedures of the department and to liaise with all departments for data consolidation. He shall also conduct bank reconciliation of all company account. Propose to the vice President Projects on all innovation and compliance on accounting and trading trend. He shall be versed with the accounting standards bodies such as OHADA, IFRS and GAAP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Prepares asset register, liability statements, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing the various account information.
  2. Documents financial transactions by entering account information on daily basis, weekly monthly and yearly.
  3. Recommends fund raising actions and events as well as best methods
  4. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of stakeholders’ earnings, cash flow statement and other reports.
  5. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

  7. Guides accounting clerical staff, volunteers and interns by coordinating activities and answering questions.

Job Purpose: The Field marker in charge of research shall be responsible to conduct field campaigns, establish and administer questionnaire, controls a team of brand ambassadors. She/He shall analyses the market trend for products and services, advises management on products and service innovations. She/he shall furnish the Vice President sales and marketing with all competitors’ market prices, prices for goods and services on real time, reports to the vice President areas of demand and areas of supplies for decision making.

She/he shall conduct statistical measurement, present reports in presentable formats both qualitatively and quantitatively. Submits reports of his activities on daily basis, assist in segmenting the market and proses to management the assigning of zones. Keeps a data base of all clients, generate leads and establish a network with donor institutions and other stakeholders
